The European Union Visitors Program (EUVP) is a young leaders program that invites Americans with a career-related interest in the EU to visit Europe and gain a first-hand appreciation of the EU’s institutions, policies, and values.

Group Study Tours

The Schuman Challenge

The Schuman Challenge is an academic competition for undergraduate students from D.C.-area colleges and universities to engage in rigorous dialogue on transatlantic issues. Student teams, under the guidance of a faculty mentor, analyze the opportunities and challenges for effective transatlantic implementation of one of the five priorities of the EU’s Global Strategy and present and defend their strategy in front of a panel of judges at the EU Delegation.

The Euro Challenge

The Euro Challenge competition is an exciting educational opportunity for American high school students to learn about the European Union and the euro. Student teams select one member country of the “euro area” to examine an economic problem at the country level, and to identify policies for responding to that problem. Teams compete at the regional and national level, with the top five teams receiving scholarship awards.

EU-US Young Leaders Seminar

This seminar convenes U.S. Fulbright students with European Erasmus+ and Marie Curie alumni to discuss key issues in transatlantic affairs.

Model EU

EU simulations through Model EU are an excellent way for high school and college students to learn about how EU institutions work. Participants are invited to represent one of the EU Member States at a European Council meeting or act as a commissioner representing the European Commission. There are many ways to run Model EU – our toolkits will help you get started.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are the EU’s reference program for doctoral education and postdoctoral training. They contribute to research, jobs, growth, and investment by equipping researchers with knowledge and skills, and foster research cooperation across borders, sectors, and disciplines.

Study Abroad

Erasmus+ offers study abroad opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students for 3-12 months within Erasmus+ Programme countries, as well as to and from Partner countries.
