Fourth edition of the Paris Peace Forum - Launch of the Call for Proposals for Projects 

The PPF’s aim is to place global governance at the top of the international agenda. Different stakeholders discuss global governance issues and cooperate on solutions through three main spaces: 

Space for Solutions, Space for Debates and Space for Innovations. 

This year, the Call for Projects will run until 9 May and is focused on the following main areas, which are also core for the fourth session of the Forum: 

Energy 

The Kariba Dam was constructed across the Zambezi River between 1956 and 1959 and has been central to regional energy security and economic development ever since.

Multisector 

Regional Integration Support Mechanism - RISM 

The overall objective of RISM Consolidation is to support the economic integration process of the Eastern, Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean region through the consolidation of the COMESA FTA and implementation of the COMESA and EAC Customs Unions and Common Markets. 

Democracy and Human Rights 

Improving health care and education services for women prisoners and circumstantial children through human right promotion 

In three year time, to improve the living condition in 7 Zambian prisons, especially addressed to mothers and circumstantial children.

Canvassing Contours and Ridges: Towards Gender Justice in Eastern and Western Provinces of Zambia 

To contribute to increased access to justice for 6,500 women, survivors and victims of Gender Based Violence, and 500 men in 3 districts of Zambia. 

Agriculture and Food Safety 

Conservation Agriculture Scaling Up Project 

The project aims to scale up conservation agriculture in 31 districts of Zambia in order to increase productivity and production of crops for food security and income generation.
