About the Ambassador

Gaspar Frontini has a Diplome from the Institut de Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris with ‘honours’ and a PhD in Economics from the Fondation Nationale de Sciences Politiques, also in Paris. 

He has held various roles in the European Commission, including Head of Unit for Sustainable Development Goals, Policy and Coherence at the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO ) and Chief Economist and Head of Unit for Trade Relations with Latin America.

Welcome to the website of the European Union to Peru! 

The European Union and Peru are partners that have worked together for many years. Our common goal, today more than ever, is to strengthen this relationship so that Peru and the European Union can face global challenges together: to get out of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, relaunch the economy, fight against climate change, favour a sustainable development with equity, defending human rights and promoting peace, among others.
