This milestone year culminates with the 7th AU-EU Summit taking place in Luanda, Angola (November 24-25, 2025).
CAPTURE THE PARTNERSHIP’S IMPACT
Over the past 25 years, the AU-EU Partnership has yielded numerous accomplishments across both continents. From sustainable economic development initiatives to educational exchanges, technological innovation to climate action and energy transition, this collaboration has delivered concrete results that have meaningfully improved lives in both continents.
We invite photographers to document visual stories that reflect this partnership’s tangible impact through their unique perspective.
COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS

Free Entry: No participation fee

International Exposure: 25 finalists featured in exhibitions, in Addis Ababa (and possibly in Brussels)

Digital Publication: Selected works included in a special digital showcase to be shared with EU and AU missions all over the world

Broad Promotion: Visibility across AU and EU communication platforms
GRAND PRIZES
Two winners (one African, one European) will receive:

Fully funded trip to Addis Ababa for the award ceremony – planned in the beginning of December 2025, dates to be confirmed

Submission Deadline: The deadline to participate in the #AUEU25 "Through Our Lens” Photography Competition has been extended to November 12 2025.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Each participant may submit up to three entries. Any applications need to be done in English or French.
Photographers must be nationals from EU or African countries and 30 years or younger, to encourage emerging talent.
