Welcome to the New Ambassador of the European Union to New Zealand

Congratulations to our newly accredited Ambasssador of the European Union to New Zealand, Her Excellency Nina Obermaier.

Yesterday, the new Ambassador of the European Union to New Zealand, H.E. Nina Obermaier, presented her credentials to the Governor-General of New Zealand, Rt. Hon. H.E. Dame Patsy Reddy.

Nina arrived on 25 November 2019 and had been Ambassador-designate since then. The literal presentation of her credentials to New Zealand head of state gives her full license to represent the European Union in New Zealand. The Ambassador's priorities will be in strengthening climate action between European Union and New Zealand at all levels; expanding European Union-New Zealand collaboration in the Pacific and supporting steps towards a free trade agreement in New Zealand.
