Objective

To improve connectivity and safe and sustainable air transport between ASEAN countries and with the EU

Expected results

Output 1

Increased awareness and capacities of civil aviation authorities concerning the harmonisation of standards and practices, the integration of the aviation market, search and rescue capabilities, and air traffic management

Output 2

  • Improved capacities of national civil aviation organisations in the region for safety oversight and accident investigation
  • Improved capacities of civil aviation authorities for the safe and efficient integration of technologies such as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS)

Output 3

  • Enhanced capacities of civil aviation authorities for the monitoring and reporting of the environmental footprint and sustainable practices in civil aåviation
  • Facilitated development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) policies and carbon-offsetting initiatives in ASEAN

Output 4

  • Improved opportunities for technology transfers between ASEAN and with the EU

  • Improved capacities of civil aviation authorities in the areas of crisis management, security (including cyber-) and the integration of Gender Equality
