EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package (SCOPE) Investment Facility

Overall and specific objectives

The overall objective of this action is to facilitate sustainable infrastructure investments in the ASEAN region with a focus on transport, energy and digital sectors to support ASEAN and its Member States in achieving the objectives set in the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 as well as several objectives of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Blueprint 2025. 

The EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package Investment Facility (SCOPE IF) seeks to improve sustainable connectivity, including sustainable infrastructure, between the EU and ASEAN and within ASEAN, in consideration of the respective EU and ASEAN connectivity strategies.

Main outputs

• Recommendations for improvement of the regulatory, institutional, and planning environment for sustainable infrastructure investments in ASEAN are produced

• Sustainable infrastructure investment projects in ASEAN are identified and developed

• Coordination of the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) on Sustainable Connectivity with ASEAN is enhanced
