About the Ambassador
I am a lawyer by training and a European Union public servant since 2001. I served in different functions, including most recently as EU Ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda. I served in the European Commission – DG Development, before joining the EU External Action Service in the EU Delegations to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Liberia and South Africa. Between 2020 and 2022, I was detached to the Cabinet of the Spanish Ministers of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, as Senior advisor for Africa. I worked over twenty-five years in Africa and with Africa and I am eager to continue learning on this journey.
I am grateful for this opportunity to represent the European Union and I am genuinely committed to building an even stronger partnership between the European Union and Botswana and vis-à-vis SADC together with my excellent and dedicated team at the Delegation.
