Ukraine's Chargé d'Affaires to China Zhanna Leshchynska participated in this event. Head of Delegation Jorge Toledo invited the Heads of Mission of the 141 Members of the United Nations General Assembly that voted in favour of the Resolution ES-11/1 of 2 March 2022. In the Resolution, titled “Aggression against Ukraine”, the UN General Assembly, among other, deplored in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation, demanded that the Russian Federation immediately cease its use of force against Ukraine, and called upon the Russian Federation to abide by the principles set forth in the UN Charter and the Declaration on Friendly Relations. In the face of a clear-cut breach of the UN Charter, 141 countries condemned Russia’s aggression and reaffirmed support to the UN Charter one year ago and again on 23 February 2023. We gathered in Beijing with the same determination to ensure that aggression fails and international law prevails.
