Close to 50% of the EU´s trade in goods with Latin America and 40% of the EU investment stock are concentrated in four countries: Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. Together, they make up the Pacific Alliance. Beyond open trade and investment, the EU shares with the Pacific Alliance the commitment to sustainable development and a joint engagement towards multilateralism.
Global progress to end child labour has stalled for the first time in 20 years. One in ten children in the world are victims of child labour, and the number is growing. Social protection is key to providing an environment to keep children away from this reality and the EU continues working with its international partners to this end.
