The EU Delegation participated in the Council of Europe research roundtable “Youth Perspectives in Action: A new chapter for youth research in Europe”

On 12 March, the EU Delegation participated in the Council of Europe research roundtable “Youth Perspectives in Action: A new chapter for youth research in Europe” organized in the framework of the EU-CoE Partnership in the field of Youth (2026-2028) and the Moldovan CoE Presidency.

 

On 12 March, the EU Delegation participated in the event “Youth Perspectives in Action: A new chapter for youth research in Europe” organized at the wake of the High-Level Conference on the European Social Charter in Chișinău on 18-19 March 2026, and contributed to the priority of the Presidency of Moldova of the Committee of Ministers of strengthening the response to disinformation, including FIMI. The event is held in the framework of the Partnership between the EU and the Council of Europe in the field of Youth (2026-2028). Main discussions evolved around the search for new avenues on youth research in Europe and explored the issues related to “Youth Social Rights – Challenges for youth research in an age of disinformation” in a panel of researchers.

The event was opened by the CoE Head of the Youth Department, Tobias Flessenkemper, Ambassador Daniela Cujbă on behalf of the Moldovan CoE Presidency, and EU Delegation Deputy Head Anna Pogwizd. Anna Pogwizd highlighted the strong EU-Council of Europe cooperation in the youth field, especially through the Youth Partnership programme, underlining also that together we are able to connect youth policy, social rights and democratic participation across the wider European space. In an age of disinformation, investing in youth social rights and robust research is essential for democratic resilience in Europe.

The participation of the EU Delegation reaffirmed our strong commitment to the youth sector, in close coordination with the Council of Europe. It also sent a clear message of our determination to further strengthen this partnership and ensure that youth policies remain inclusive, forward-looking, and responsive to future challenges.
