We are delighted to present our new brochure, “Stronger Together: Celebrating 75 Years of the European Convention on Human Rights and 25 Years of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights”, published to mark a historic double anniversary:

🔹 75 years of the European Convention on Human Rights – Signed in Rome on 4 November 1950, the Convention remains the cornerstone of human rights protection in Europe, safeguarding the rights of over 700 million people.

🔹 25 years of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union – Adopted in 2000 and legally binding since 2009, the Charter reinforces the protection of fundamental rights across the EU.

This publication explores how these two documents work together to uphold democracy, the rule of law, and human rights across Europe. It highlights their shared values, complementary roles, and the ongoing collaboration between the European Union and the Council of Europe.
