Platform for Remittances, Investments and Migrant’s Entrepreneurships in Africa

Remittances represent a crucial inflow and a vital source of income for thousands of Ghanaian families. Indeed, Ghana is the second largest remittances receiver in Sub Saharan Africa, with a large, well-dispersed diaspora, a developed digital environment and significant opportunities to reduce costs and harness remittances to enhance financial inclusion.

 

The PRIME Africa programme focuses on promoting greater efficiency of the international remittance market in seven African countries, among which Ghana. The initiative aims at increasing the development impact of remittances by linking the recipients to financial services and by financing and supporting innovations, partnerships and replicable/scalable products that promote cheap and fast remittance transfers.
