06.12.2019

An opportunity for European and Japanese industries and stakeholders to present their viewpoints to public authorities in charge of digital policy in the EU and in Japan.

The 9th EU-Japan Digital Strategies Workshop, co-chaired by the European Union and the Japanese government, will take place at 10:30-18:00 on 11 December 2019 in central Tokyo.

After several workshops held since 2015, we will cover a series of topics in the EU's Digital Single Market strategy and the Japanese Society 5.0. initiative. The Workshop aims in particular at exchanging views and deepening the cooperation on topics such as online platforms, trust services, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and blockchains.

This event is taking place back-to-back with the Digital Policy Dialogues between the EU and the Japanese government (MIC, METI) on issues related to information and communication technologies, regulatory frameworks, security, internet governance and cooperation on research and development.

This event is only open to private companies (especially European Companies in the digital sector). If your company would like to attend, please register by email at the following address: delegation-japan-st@eeas.europa.eu (Deadline: 12:00 on Tuesday 10 December. Due to limited space, we have to work on a first come first served basis).  Information on the venue, in central Tokyo, and the full agenda will then be provided to you prior to the event.
