Dialogue Dialogue between G7 Gender Equality Ministers and Civil Society

As a follow-up to the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, on 24 and 25 June, the EU Delegation and W7 Japan will co-organise a dialogue on gender equality, women’s leadership and human rights between the G7 Ministers on Gender Equality or their Representatives and Civil Society.

As a follow-up to the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, on 24 and 25 June, the EU Delegation and W7 Japan will co-organise a dialogue on gender equality, women’s leadership and human rights between the G7 Ministers on Gender Equality or their Representatives and Civil Society. This event will cover issues such as care economy, eradication of violence, bodily autonomy, the digital world, LGBTQI+ and accountability. The aim is to discuss the outcomes of the G7 ministerial meeting with Civil Society, and to carry the momentum to the next G7 Presidency - Italy. The dialogue will be opened by Japan’s State Minister on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, Mr Masanobu Ogura, and the European Commissioner for Equality, Ms Helena Dalli.
