Main results

G20 leaders met in New Delhi for a two-day summit hosted by the Indian G20 presidency.

Charles Michel, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, represented the EU.

Leaders issued a common declaration at the end of the summit.

We are determined to steer the world out of its current challenges and build a safer, stronger, more resilient, inclusive and healthier future for our people and the planet.

G20 New Delhi leaders' declaration

Under the theme “One Earth · One Family · One Future” , the G20 leaders discussed, among other topics:

• Russia’s war against Ukraine
• strong and sustainable growth
• sustainable development goals
• climate and environment
• digital transition
• gender equality

They also welcomed the African Union as a permanent member of the G20.
