Japan: EU-Japan Business Round Table recommendations submitted to PM Kishida

On 17 January, the recommendations of the European Union (EU)-Japan Business Round Table (BRT) for 2022 were submitted to PM Fumio Kishida at his Official Residence in Tokyo by Masaki Sakuyama (former BRT co-chair on the Japanese side and former Senior Advisor of Mitsubishi Electric Corp.) and Nikolaus Boltze (member of the European Business Council in Japan and representing EU-side co-chair Philippe Wahl). The recommendations underline the importance of EU-Japan cooperation in the digital and green transitions, as well as in supporting resilient global supply chains. The EU-Japan BRT was established in its current form in 1999 to enhance dialogue between Japanese and European businesses, and holds annual meetings alternating in Europe and Japan.
