Online lecture on the latest developments of the EU-Japan joint fusion energy research
The first lecturer, Dr. Susana Lorenzo, introduced the role and activities of International Fusion Energy Research Centre (IFERC) in the context of the Broader Approach Agreement. Dr. Philippe Cara provided an overview of the International Fusion Materials Irradiation Facility (IFMIF)’s ongoing project in its Engineering Validation and Engineering Design Activities (EVEDA) phase under the Agreement. Finally, Dr. Sam Davis provided the status of JT-60SA device that supports International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), which often referred to as a ‘satellite tokamak’.
