EU Delegation Launches 2025 Campaign for the 16 Days of Activism
The campaign started with a public screening of the award-winning film “Inshallah Walad”, followed by a Q&A session with the film’s director, Amjad Al Rasheed and the CEO of Generations for Peace, Lama Hattab, moderated by the Deputy Head of Delegation, Angela Martini.
Throughout the 16 Days, the Delegation will release:
• A five-episode videocast series with the TV presenter, Alaa Bushnaq, exploring GBV, digital safety, and women’s empowerment;
• A social media campaign offering practical tips on preventing and reporting digital violence, as well as stories from EU-funded projects working to combat GBV and empowering women;
• Two stand-up comedy shows using humour as a tool to spark dialogue and promote awareness on sensitive issues.
The Delegation’s “family photo” marks the beginning of this year’s engagement, symbolising unity, commitment, and collective responsibility in the fight against gender-based violence.
