The event successfully attracted over 1,000 attendees, comprising students from various public and private schools in Amman and surrounding Governorates, along with numerous families, all eager to discover and celebrate the rich linguistic diversity of Europe.

This year's festivities offered a diverse array of activities for all ages, including creative sessions, interactive robotics workshops, and a lively library section with virtual trips and language games. Families enjoyed dancing sessions and language classes, while a concert showcasing European languages in music provided a memorable auditory experience. Additionally, attendees participated in a study-themed treasure hunt and explored art exhibitions that celebrated the cultural heritage of the participating nations.

At the outset, the EU Ambassador to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, highlighted the importance of language skills to foster people-to-people relations, cultural dialogue, and strengthen economic relations between Jordan and the European Union, emphasizing that everyone – from Jordan to Europe – should get a chance to acquire these skills.

The European Day of Languages has been celebrated with young Jordanians since 2012. Since its establishment by the Council of Europe in 2001, the European Day of Languages has served as a platform to promote language learning and intercultural understanding.
