Concert to mark Europe Month in Kazakhstan
On 18 May the festive concert dedicated to the Europe Month in Kazakhstan took place in Nur-Sultan. The best European, Kazakh and Ukrainian musical pieces were performed by special guests, prominent opera singers – Kseniya Bakhritdinova-Kravchuk and Teona Todua accompanied by talented pianists Darius Mazintas and Olena Mozil. The event was organised by the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan with the support of the Embassies of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine in Kazakhstan.
72 years have passed since the Schuman declaration of 9 May 1950, which laid the ground for the creation of the European Union. After the devastation of two World wars, the bright minds of Europe demonstrated remarkable creativity and determination to overcome historic divisions through joint education, close coordination of economic interests. The Europe Day is a day to celebrate peace and unity throughout Europe.
