European Union organises the EU Mini Model Game 2022
The topic of the game was the impact of modern technologies on environment, which touches upon such factors as climate change, the advantages and disadvantages of new technologies, green finance, innovation, and the consequences of using all of these.
The EU Mini Model Game is organized annually by the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan. The previous game was held in May 2021 and focused on issues of energy transition and decarbonization.
This educational project, unique in its form and content, aims to enhance students leadership, presentation, public speaking, communication skills. The game allows students to understand better the structure and format of the work of the EU Council. The participants gained the real-time experience of running the meeting of one of the important bodies of the EU.
The global trends of the XXI century are shaped by innovations, new technologies and specific knowledge that are spreading in all spheres of life of millions of people. The EU proposes an agenda that includes issues related to the Green Deal (EU Green Deal) to achieve Europe's climate neutrality by 2050. These important and relevant topics are closely linked to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Based on the results of the discussions, the participants adopted a resolution. The panel of judges selected three winners, who recieved valuable prizes: Rakhat Maikenov, Saltanat Irzhanova, and Aruzhan Rakhimova. All participants were awarded the certificates from the Delegation of the EU to Kazakhstan.
