Leaders of Change: Ceremony for Launching Communication Campaigns

PF ‘Wings of Liberty’ (Kazakhstan) and Free Press for Eastern Europe (Czech Republic) public foundations announce the launch of the second year of ‘Leaders of Change’, a project for human rights defenders and activists from Kazakhstan, funded by the European Union. The goal of the project is to help human rights organizations and initiatives to strengthen their presence on social media and become more recognizable and influential among the public.

The project invites human rights defenders, activists, representatives of civil society and media representatives to participate in the launch of the second year of the project, which will be held offline with the possibility of Zoom connection on May 21 at 11:00 (Nur-Sultan time). During the meeting, the following topics will be discussed:

• results of the first year of the project;
• human rights information campaigns of the alumni of the first year of the project;
• upcoming School on Video Production Video.JAZz for human rights campaigns and online trainings on digital security;
• the importance of promoting the activities of human rights defenders on social media.

The event will be attended by PF ‘Wings of Liberty’ and Free Press for Eastern Europe, alumni of the first year of the project, representatives of the EU Delegation in Kazakhstan, as well as human rights defenders, activists and representatives of civil society.
