Public Foundation "Erkindik Qanaty" (Kazakhstan) together with the Czech Public Foundation Free Press for Eastern Europe launched a course on marketing in social networks SMM JAZz for those who change the world and society in the public space of Kazakhstan.

The training was part of the "Leaders of Change" project, funded by the European Union. The aim of the project is to help human rights organizations and initiatives strengthen their presence in social networks and become more recognizable and influential among the general public.

The course took place in Almaty, from June 29 to July 3, 2021. It was attended by 18 human rights defenders and activists from 7 cities, including Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Petropavlovsk, Semei, Pavlodar, Shymkent and Aktobe. On the first day of the course, participants received introductory training on human rights from human rights activist Tatyana Chernobil. The rest of the course program was devoted to the development of skills in social networks.

Together with the trainers of the course, Zlata Ponirovskaya and Katerina Avdeeva, participants identified their target audience, made portraits of users, analyzed their work in social networks and built a communication strategy. At the end, based on the results of the training, the participants presented their mini-projects of information campaigns.
