Major Duties and Responsibilities

- Preparing high-standard, creative menus for formal and informal events at the EU Residence, including working and social lunches, dinners, receptions, buffets etc.;

- Creative working on new recipes, primarily focusing on a cuisine of European countries;

- Setting up the table;

- Managing all aspects of the kitchen, maintenance of kitchen equipment, cleaning of kitchen and dining space;

- Maintaining proper food safety, kitchen hygiene and sanitation procedures;

- Grocery shopping in preparation for events;

- Performing other related duties.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a Chef/Cook position, in a high quality dining hotel, restaurant or diplomatic Residence;

- Extensive knowledge of fine dining and related food preparation, presentation and service;

- Ability to cook different types of food, primarily focusing on European cuisine;

- Excellent time management abilities, strong organisational skills;

- Fluent in Russian language. Knowledge of English will be an advantage;

- Flexibility, creativity, innovative approach;

- Familiarity with sanitation and food safety regulations;

- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques;

- Proof of Covid vaccination;

- Food safety training certificate;

- Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage;

- The candidate should respect the rules of confidentiality and professional conduct/ethics;

- Good communication skills.
