Management Board to Development Fund awards 3.5 million EUR for construction of Culture Centre in Mitrovica North

The Management Board to the Development Fund for northern Kosovo awarded 3.5 million EUR for the construction of a Culture Centre in Mitrovica/ë North. With the approval of this project, the Board to the Development Fund has made an appreciable commitment towards the further development of cultural life and initiatives in this region of Kosovo.

The Development Fund was established in the EU-facilitated Dialogue process and is financed by select revenues collected at the Jarinje/Jarinjë and Brnjak/Bërnjak crossing points in northern Kosovo. Since 2013, the Fund has collected over 16.2 million EUR, of which 14.5 million have been allocated towards the socio-economic development of the four municipalities in northern Kosovo. To date, the Management Board to the Development Fund held 21 meetings and approved 34 projects.
