This project aims to support the nomadic unit of the National Guard in strengthening the State’s presence in remote areas and re-establishing the link between citizens and the State through the implementation of civil-military actions.

The overall objective is to support the Mauritanian Government’s policy in its fight against terrorism.

The specific objectives are:

• Carrying out development activities by the armed and security forces for the benefit of populations in isolated areas;
• Supporting the capacity building of the Mauritanian armed and security forces.
