From Partnerships to Projects: Investing in Montenegro’s European Future

 

Dear Colleagues, Dear Partners, We are pleased to invite expressions of interest to participate in AIM 2026 – Montenegro Investment Conference, From Partnerships to Projects: Investing in Montenegro’s European Future, taking place on 20–21 October 2026 in Portonovi, Montenegro. 

As Montenegro’s flagship platform for connecting policy reform with international investment, AIM 2026 is co-organised by the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission, with the support of the Montenegrin Investment Agency. The conference comes at a defining moment for Montenegro, as expanding investment opportunities converge with the country’s rapid progress towards European Union accession. 

Building on the strong outcomes of AIM 2025 (including the signing of ten Memoranda of Understanding and the launch of four Sustainable Investment Partnerships), AIM 2026 marks a decisive shift from dialogue to delivery. The conference will focus on converting strategic commitments into investment-ready projects and fostering partnerships that support Montenegro’s sustainable and inclusive economic development. 

AIM 2026 will convene Ministers, senior representatives of the European Commission, leaders of international financial institutions, institutional investors, multilateral development banks, chief executives of leading international companies, and other distinguished stakeholders. Together, they will identify practical measures to mobilise capital, accelerate project delivery and strengthen Montenegro’s competitiveness on its path to European Union membership.

The programme will focus on strategic sectors including: 

• Renewable energy and energy storage 

• Sustainable agribusiness

• Tourism and wellness 

• Transport and logistics 

• Digital infrastructure and emerging technologies
