Call for Corporate Sponsorship for Europe Day 2026 Celebration in Mozambique

The EU Delegation to the Republic of Mozambique will host the annual Europe Day reception on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, in Maputo. 

Europe Day is an annual worldwide celebration of peace and unity in Europe, commemorating the Schumann Declaration of 1950 and, in Mozambique, an opportunity to renew friendships and partnerships. We expect the participation of around 250 - 300 guests from government and state institutions, Embassies and Diplomatic Missions, Civil Society, the NGO community, private sector and multiple other sectors in the society to celebrate Europe and its fruitful relations with the Republic of Mozambique.

This celebration is an excellent opportunity for companies, organizations and our partners to promote their European image, brands and activities through corporate sponsorship-collaboration with the EU in Mozambique.

On this special occasion, the EU Delegation to Mozambique is calling for companies, local partners, and organizations to support the celebration on 12 May by providing in-kind sponsorship.

How to apply

The entities interested in joining us in celebrating the unity and diversity of the European Union are kindly invited to submit expressions of their interest for providing the above-listed goods and services, using the sponsorship application form attached below. Applications should be submitted by email by 31 March 2026 COB to: Head of Administration at the EU Delegation to Mozambique (email address: delegation-mozambique-hoa@eeas.europa.eu) - with subject ”Europe Day 2026 Sponsorship Proposal”.

The EU Delegation will review the applications in line with the eligibility and selection criteria listed under point 2 of the Terms of Reference below attached and contact the selected companies/organizations to sign a Corporate Sponsorship Agreement.

1. SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES

Sponsors are invited to contribute through the provision of goods or services such as:

• Food and beverages supply 
• Event venue (e.g., hotel, garden, or reception area)
• Printed materials (invitations, backdrops, signage, banners...)
• Staff support (event coordinator, receptionists, service personnel...)

Or any other non-financial assistance that may help ensure the success of the event.

Potential sponsors wishing to support the event are invited to contact the EU Delegation for further information and procedures.

In recognition of the contributions provided, sponsors will be provided with exposure and visibility in the following ways:

• Placement of their logo on event communications and materials
• A public acknowledgment by the Ambassador during the celebration
• The opportunity to display or distribute promotional material at the event venue (banners, roll-ups, etc).
