New Ambassador-designate to New Zealand Mrs Nina Obermaier

On 25 November the Delegation welcomed our new Ambassador-Designate Nina Obermaier. Nina has spent the past three years working as Adviser to the Deputy Chief Negotiator for the UK withdrawal from the European Union. She was Lead Negotiator for issues related to Ireland/Northern Ireland. Prior to this, Nina was responsible for relations with Switzerland.

A German citizen, she has also worked for German media. Aside from her mother tongue, Nina speaks English, French and Dutch.

We welcome Nina and her family to New Zealand.
