| Strengthening and Institutional Modernisation of the Judicial Branch | Justice | To optimise the quality, efficiency, and transparency of judicial services to benefit citizens | 2006-2009 | Judicial Body | 10 million euros | An efficient and transparent administrative structure was achieved; a total of 34 buildings were constructed nationwide, housing 51 courts equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including those in indigenous areas and hard-to-reach locations in Darién, Bocas del Toro, Veraguas, and Chiriquí, among others. Furthermore, a Judicial Career Development project was presented, and mechanisms for citizens' access to justice were strengthened. Training was provided to judicial officials in different areas, and the Good Practices Manual, the Operational Manual for the Accusatory Criminal System, and the judicial map were developed and published. |

Three hundred Solar Energy Committees (CES) were created, complementary furniture was distributed, and two laboratories were built and equipped to house a renewable energy training center at the Veraguas Regional Center. |
