On the occasion of the International Women’s Day on 8 March 2023, the Delegation of the European Union to Saudi Arabia is launching a call for expression of interest for young women in KSA to job-shadow the European Union Ambassador for one day. The aim of this initiative is to empower young women to pursue studies and careers in international relations, develop leadership skills as well as understand the job and responsibilities of a top diplomat representing the European Union abroad. This opportunity will also aim to encourage enhancing language skills as the European Union Delegation offers a multi-lingual work environment. Young women should take part in diplomacy and advocate the change they want to see in the world.

The “Ambassador for a day” will get a chance to discover the European Union and the work of an EU Delegation more closely, meet diplomats from various countries and experience firsthand the diversity of the European Union.

Eligibility:

• Young women studying or at the early stages of her career. 
• Resident of Saudi Arabia

• Send a short CV or biography about yourself
• Submit a short essay (max. 300 words) or a video (max. two minutes) in English answering the following question: If you were an Ambassador for a day what would be your main priority?

The European Union Delegation will choose two winners and communicate to them more details about the program. The Delegation will bear no costs of transportation to/from its premises in Riyadh.
