Street Art in Dakar : a graffiti on the renewed partnership between the EU and Africa!
In the framework of the communication campaign, “Africa- EU, Together Today, for Tomorrow” youth local artists painted a graffiti in the suburbs of Dakar to show the renewed partnership between the EU and Africa!
A 30m long graffiti was realised on the wall of the Stadium Allassane Djigo in the suburbs’ area of Pikine in Dakar, by several local artists all under the guidance and supervision of Zeinixx a young female graffiti artist. This graffiti portrays the elements on which the renewed partnership between the EU and Africa, and notably between the EU and Senegal, is based :
- youth empowerment,
- green transition,
- digital transformation,
- local pharmaceutical production,
- sustainable growth and jobs,
- peace and governance.
This activity complements the communication campaign Africa- EU, Together Today, for Tomorrow’s activities for which Senegal is one of the pilot country. Since the beginning of 2021, short videos have been produced to show EU actions ‘impact on the everyday life of Senegalese people : check our Facebook and Instagram pages!
When we see Senegal, we see talented artists like Zeinixx. And you what do you see?
