EU Human Rights Day Seminar 2025

The European Union Delegation to Singapore’s Human Rights Day Seminar 2025 held on 10th December was dedicated to exploring the impact of new technologies on human rights. 

At the event, we had the honour of presenting a video message from the European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath. Commissioner McGrath visited Singapore in March 2025 and kindly agreed to support our event with this message. 

The 10th of December marks Human Rights Day. It is a moment to reflect on the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These principles, adopted in 1948, were born out of conflict. They define the basic rights and freedoms to which all human beings are entitled. Seventy-seven years later, they continue to guide our collective efforts to uphold dignity, freedom, and justice for all.
