EU-Singapore Trade and Investment Booklet 2025
The 2025 edition of the EU-Singapore Trade and Investment Booklet offers an overview of the strong economic relations between the EU and Singapore with latest annual statistics on trade in goods, trade in services and Foreign Direct Investment. It also provides information on the EU-Singapore Digital Trade Agreement and other EU-Singapore agreements, as well as useful trade tools.
In 2024, EU-Singapore trade in goods reached €48 billion, with EU exports to Singapore amounting to €30 billion and EU imports from Singapore totalling nearly €18 billion. Singapore ranked globally as the EU’s 21st largest merchandise trade partner in 2024.
EU-Singapore trade in services amounted to €80.6 billion in 2023, ranking Singapore as the EU’s fifth largest partner for trade in services. With trade in goods and services combined, total EU-Singapore trade reached €132.7 billion in 2023, ranking Singapore as the EU’s largest trade partner in ASEAN and 10th largest trade partner in the world.
In relation to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Singapore remains the most important destination for EU investment in Southeast Asia. At the end of 2023, EU FDI stocks held in Singapore reached €263 billion. Conversely, FDI stocks held by Singapore in the EU amounted to €314 billion in 2023. On a global scale, Singapore ranks as the EU’s 5th largest partner for both inward and outward FDI stocks.
