European Film Festival goes to school: EUFF@GESS

As part of the landmark 35th edition of the European Film Festival (EUFF), the EU Ambassador to Singapore Artis Bērtulis launched the inaugural EUFF@GESS with the screening of Oscar-winning animation Flow

Created using Blender software, Flow, directed by Gints Zilbalodis tells the story of a solitary cat navigating a post-apocalyptic and flooded world.

Some stories have the power to connect across cultures without even a single word exchanged on screen. We got the chance to experience that through Flow in Singapore. The film has captivated audiences around the world with its emotional storytelling and striking visual style and its impact here was no different.

EUFF@GESS: Ambassador's Address

For his inspiring work as a cub reporter and his interest in international relations and the European Union, Ambassador gave GESS student Hippolyte Chevee Lauzy a Black Cat Media Prize.

The evening brought together students, school staff, families and guests for a meaningful celebration of film, culture and international connection, truly embodying the spirit of learning #BeyondClassrooms.
