EEAS Vacancy: Funded Traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Türkiye - PRESS AND INFO TEAM

We offer:
A traineeship of 6 months in 2026 within the Political Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation. The tentative start date is in September 2026.
The Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation represents the European Union’s political interests and priorities in Türkiye, while supporting the implementation of EU foreign policy objectives and ensuring effective communication of EU policies and actions.
The section monitors and analyses political, security, governance, and societal developments, providing regular reporting and assessments to EU institutions in Brussels. It maintains dialogue with national authorities, political actors, civil society, media, and international partners, conveying EU positions and supporting cooperation on issues such as democracy, human rights, rule of law, peace and security, and regional affairs.
At the same time, the section serves as the Delegation’s communication arm, managing media relations, public diplomacy, digital communication, and outreach activities. It implements the Delegation’s communication strategy, ensures the visibility of EU-funded programmes and projects, and promotes a clear understanding of EU–Türkiye relations among the public and key stakeholders.
Main tasks:
- Support the Communication team with the preparation, implementation and follow-up of public events and campaigns organised by the Delegation (both internal and external), including those related to COP 31
- Attend coordination meetings and draft minutes, liaise with other teams across the EU Delegation and with external partners as part of communication team’s activities
- Contribute to operating the Delegation’s website and social media
- Support the team with the administrative and other relevant tasks
We look for:
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Recent university degree, ideally in public communications
- A knack for communication and organisation of events
- Familiarity with web, social media and relevant platforms and tools
- Knowledge of the EU and its relations with Türkiye
- Knowledge of Turkish language is an asset
- Candidates must have less than one year of professional experience after their graduation by the signing of the Traineeship agreement. (other traineeships or student jobs or volunteering works carried out during university or after graduation are not considered as professional experience).

Important information to read before applying
Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship).
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidates are not able to present the required documents, their application will be rejected.
The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin.
Citizens from EU Member states:
- must provide proof that they will be covered against the risk of a pandemic and the costs of repatriation;
- must hold a relevant entrance visa and / or temporary residence permit where applicable, based on the traineeship agreement, the duration of the traineeship, and in compliance with the local legislation.
