Join us this Friday for the #TeamEurope-supported "ZIFF Goes Mainland" opening night at Alliance Française, Dar es Salaam. We welcome you to a night of cultural exchange and film appreciation. Don't miss out!

The European Union and its Member States, in partnership with the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), is proud to announce the opening night of "ZIFF Goes Mainland" on Friday, at 6:30pm East African Time, at Alliance Française in Dar es Salaam. Now in its third year, this special screening program extends the reach of ZIFF to Tanzania Mainland, primarily focusing on educational settings.

"ZIFF Goes Mainland" is designed to foster cultural exchange through films, highlighting both ZIFF-winning movies and European cultural films. Its core objective extends beyond mere entertainment; it aims to encourage film analysis and appreciation among diverse audiences.

The opening night promises to be a vibrant event with the screening of "EIONII," a Tanzanian science fiction film. This screening will be attended by a diverse group, including diplomats, cultural actors, youth, and more, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the program.

Aside from Dar es Salaam, "ZIFF Goes Mainland"  also has screenings scheduled in the cities of Morogoro and Bagamoyo. These events will primarily target students, expanding the program's educational and cultural impact.

Join us for an evening that celebrates the power of film in bridging cultures and inspiring critical thinking.
