TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

• Tanzanians or EU citizens aged between 15 and 30 years of age
• They must reside in Tanzania at the time of the quiz until 30 June 2023

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

• The quiz will be available from 9 May to 18 May 2023
• The participant will attempt a total of 18 multiple choice questions. Each question has a 90 second time limit.
• Internet access is required to participate.
• The participant should select the correct response among the multiple choices.
• The participant should only attempt the quiz once.
• The participant will need to sign in with a valid email address to participate. The email address will not be public.
• The quiz is FREE and there is NO participation fee.

RESULTS & WINNERS

• The winner is who scores the most on the quiz and adheres fully to the terms of participation.
• Three winners will be announced for this quiz on the social media accounts of the EU Delegation, Embassies of Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden in Tanzania.
• The winners will be notified via email by 30 May 2023, through the official EU email address: delegation-tanzania@eeas.europa.eu
• In case a winner does not respond to the notification email within 5-days, or if otherwise found ineligible, the EU reserves the right to select a different winner most deserving according to the terms of participation.
• If there were a tie of more than three winners for the first place, the least time taken to respond to the questions would be used to determine the ranking.

PRIZE & AWARDING CEREMONY

• The winners of the quiz will each be awarded an EU Assorted Basket, which will contain a present from each of the 11 EU member states in Tanzania and the EU Delegation.
• The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
• The winners will be announced at the EU Day Reception in early June
• The winners will be extended an invitation to the EU Day Reception in Dar es Salaam. However, any costs associated with attending the Reception will not be compensated.
• For those who can attend, the prizes will be given to them at the ceremony. For those who cannot attend, the prizes will be delivered to them at their nearest point of convenience, within Tanzania.
• If a winner cannot provide an address or cannot attend the Reception, a pick-up point will be provided.

CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PRIVACY

• For the purpose of this quiz, the participant’s names, email address, region and age-range may be collected when attempting the quiz but will not be shared with the public.
• By participating in this quiz, the participant agrees that if he/she wins, their names, surname and the region they come from, will be announced in public.
• The quiz is provided on an online platform made available by Riddle quiz creator, which meets all privacy protection requirements and is fully GDPR compliant.
