Football for All: EU-Funded Community Tournament to Celebrate Europe Month in Tanzania
As part of the annual Europe Month celebrations, the European Union (EU), in partnership with CEFA, is proud to present the EU Funded “Football for All” (Soka kwa Wote) Tournament on Saturday 23 May 2026 at Starlight Arena, Chole Road, Masaki, Dar es Salaam.
Held under the slogan “Soka kwa Wote, Amani na Umoja”, this participatory tournament will unite communities through the universal language of sport while promoting inclusion, solidarity, equality, and mutual respect.
The event will bring together teams representing:
- Civil society organizations
- Community groups
- Youth networks
- The Team Europe Network
This unique initiative aims to foster dialogue and strengthen partnerships among diverse groups while demonstrating the transformative power of football in building stronger, more connected communities.
Taking place during Europe Month, celebrated every May around Europe Day on 9 May, which commemorates the founding of the European Union and promotes peace, unity, and cooperation, the tournament reflects the European Union’s commitment to empowering communities and encouraging meaningful social engagement.
