Europe Day 2020

Europe Day is a day to celebrate peace and unity in Europe.  This year, 70 years after the Schuman Declaration which marks the foundation of the European Union, will be remembered as one where instead of open doors, we closed our doors and sheltered in place.  But this year, more than ever, as COVID-19 continues to ravage the world, the role of the EU in the world is more significant as we work together with our partners to combat the pandemic. 

So today, while we cannot celebrate in our usual fashion, we are happy to celebrate that solidarity and strength in unity and share with you this special newsletter that includes the Europe Day message to the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago from Ambassador Biesebroek.
