Renos, an actor and director, is considered one of the pioneers of modern Greek indie cinema with his first films, No Budget Story and Cheap Smokes. He is best known to Greek audiences for his successful TV and theatre work. Cheap Smokes was adapted into a musical and staged at the Greek National Opera with critical acclaim and sold-out shows in 2021.
