MESSAGE FROM THE AMBASSADOR
Dear friends, citizens of Turkmenistan,
Gadyrly dostlar, Türkmenistanyň raýatlary,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan. It will guide you through the European Union activities, our engagement in Turkmenistan and our undertakings in the country and in Central Asia.
The European Union and Turkmenistan established relations in 1993. Over the years, our partnership has extended across a spectrum of sectors, including but not limited to education, agriculture, transport, healthcare, border control and management, the rule of law, human rights, social inclusion, and gender equality.
The European Union remains dedicated to supporting Turkmenistan's growth and prosperity of all its citizens, further strengthening the relationship as an example of how nations can come together to create a brighter, more interconnected future. We are eager to engage in open and constructive dialogues with Turkmenistan's citizens, their government, civil society and all our partners to deepen our understanding of each other's priorities and explore new avenues for a stronger European Union-Turkmenistan partnership.
In this difficult times, when we are surrounded by armed conflicts and climate catastrophes, which have led to an abrupt change in our way of life, now more than ever we must join our efforts to address regional and global challenges and to promote peace and sustainable development.
As Ambassador of the European Union in this friendly country, I want to emphasize that I am here for you whenever you require my assistance. You can rely on me and the whole EU Delegation as committed supporters of Turkmenistan and its people, the true protagonists of progress to build a fair, equitable and modern society, with opportunities for everyone.
