The two-day event combined lively discussions with deep dives into EU-related policies and projects.
Journalists met Deputy Ambassador Gediminas Navickas and, together with leading EU experts, they learned more about:
- how the European Union functions;
- Ukraine’s EU accession process;
- the EU support provided since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion;
- how to counter Russian disinformation;
- where to find reliable information about the EU.
While brutal Russian attacks continue to target civilians - in the last 24 hours 40 persons were wounded and four killed in Dnipro - journalists visited several EU-funded projects, in particular focusing on EU emergency support in Dnipro:
- The EU humanitarian rapid response implemented after one of the recent Russian attack.
- The editorial office of Suspilne Dnipro, recently destroyed by a drones strike.
- The social work training centre established by the EU and UNDP under the EU4Recovery programme to support the most vulnerable groups and IDPs.
During his visit to Dnipro, Gediminas Navickas met with the city’s mayor, Borys Filatov, international partners, civil society representatives
