EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova attended a training for national media journalists "EU: Simple about Complicated"

For two days (February 26-27), 30 journalists from national media took part in a training on the European Union, Ukraine’s accession path and the role of reforms in this process.

Participants explored how EU institutions work, what membership means in practice, how to counter disinformation about the EU, and how to explain complex EU topics to the audience.

The programme also included visits to a VET school within Skills4Recovery Project implemented by GIZ Ukraine and to the NABU within EUACI, highlighting the importance of anti-corruption institutions on Ukraine’s European path.

A special highlight was the meeting with EU ambassador Katarína Mathernová, who addressed the journalists and stressed the critical role of independent media.
