Third Quarterly Monitoring Report on Pro-Russian Disinformation Targeting EU–Ukraine Relations (June – August 2026)
The EU Delegation-supported regional network of journalists and independent media, in collaboration with the EU-Ukraine Disinformation Awareness and Resilience Project team, continues to monitor foreign information manipulation cases, including disinformation narratives, targeting EU–Ukraine relations at the regional level with the aim to debunk emerging false and manipulative content. As a result of this work, we compile and publish quarterly monitoring reports.
In the summer of 2026, pro-Russian propagandists spread false claims about Ukraine’s relations with the European Union and Poland, manipulated the issues of mobilisation and corruption in Ukraine, and even exploited natural disasters in Europe. These claims aimed to fuel Euroscepticism among Ukrainians, discredit European support for Ukraine, and convince audiences that the EU was supposedly acting against Ukraine’s interests.
See the Third Report, covering the summer period, for further details.
