New EU Ambassador Presents Credentials to UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On Tuesday, September 5th, Her Excellency Lucie Berger, the newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), presented a copy of her credentials to His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E. Khaled Belhoul, wished Ambassador Berger success in the performance of her duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and the European Union.
Ambassador Berger expressed her pleasure at representing the European Union in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position under the visionary policy of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE
Ambassador Berger is the first woman to be appointed as the EU Ambassador to the UAE. She brings a wealth of experience in international affairs, trade, and climate action to her new role. Her distinguished career within the European Union began in 2006, where she played key roles in shaping international cooperation, representing the EU in prestigious global organizations, and contributing to climate action strategies.
