The Embassy of Spain with the support from the European Union presents: “A Journey Through Spanish Dance”

The Embassy of Spain in Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan organized an exceptional dance performance by the Spanish company Aire Nuevo Danza.

As part of the cultural celebrations marking the Spanish National Day (October 12) and 10th anniversary European Film Festival in Uzbekistan, this unique performance titled “A Journey Through Spanish Dance: From Its Origins to the Present” took place on Friday, 7 November, 2025, at 17:00 at the State Academy of Choreography in Tashkent.

The show  take audiences on a captivating voyage through the evolution of Spanish dance — from its traditional roots to contemporary interpretations. The programme includes emblematic styles such as Boleros, Jota, Flamenco, and modern Spanish dance, showcasing the diversity, emotion, and artistry that define Spain’s vibrant cultural identity.  The Spanish dance company also hosted a master class at the State Academy of Choreography, where students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand the techniques and traditions of classical Spanish dance.

Through this event, the Embassy of Spain and the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan reaffirm their commitment to fostering cultural dialogue and strengthening the ties between the EU Member States and Uzbekistan through the universal language of art in a Team Europe spirit.
