EU Delegation to Uzbekistan Hosts Meeting for Participants of the EU–Central Asia Civil Society Forum

6th EU - Central Asia Civil Society Forum will take place on 5–6 February 2026 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

 

Today the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan hosted a Pre-Departure Meeting for Uzbek civil society representatives ahead of the 6th EU–Central Asia Civil Society Forum, taking place on 5–6 February 2026 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting focused on the Forum’s key priorities, including the EU’s Global Gateway agenda and its thematic areas: digital transformation, climate and environmental protection, governance and responsible business, women’s empowerment, and youth engagement. Participants exchanged views on the role of civil society in translating regional dialogue into concrete action.

Held at the EU Delegation with the participation of H.E. Toivo Klaar, EU Ambassador, the meeting highlighted the EU’s continued support for civic engagement and regional cooperation in Central Asia.
