From 4 to 14 March 2025, the Tashkent House of Photography hosted the exhibition “The Bright Side of the Soul”, held with the financial support of the European Union. The exhibition formed part of a series of cultural events commemorating three years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the role of culture as a space for resilience, reflection, and solidarity.

The exhibition showcased works by renowned Ukrainian artists Dmytro and Nina Dobrovolski, whose artistic partnership explores the beauty of nature, urban landscapes, and the luminous dimensions of the human spirit. Through their paintings, visitors were invited on a visual journey across different places and emotions, celebrating creativity, humanity, and hope.

Organised within the framework of cultural and educational cooperation between the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Ukraine, the exhibition demonstrated the EU’s continued commitment to supporting Ukrainian culture and artists, even in times of profound challenge. By bringing Ukrainian art to Uzbek audiences, the initiative also strengthened people-to-people connections and intercultural dialogue.

The European Union considers culture an essential means of fostering understanding and solidarity. Supporting initiatives such as “The Bright Side of the Soul” reflects the EU’s broader engagement in promoting cultural exchange, freedom of artistic expression, and shared human values.
